The location adjacent to stunning natural scenery is a major draw, and the historical building offers a fascinating atmosphere to explore. While the pasta options at dinner were delightful and showcased local flavors, the initial service experience during check-in was lacking. The room felt cramped and poorly lit, and the shower design was inconvenient. It was disappointing to find one of the towels had holes and frayed edges.

Our stay at the monastery was truly memorable, especially enjoying dinner in the beautifully restored dining area and the rich history reflected in every corner we wandered. I loved the unique charm of our room with its original stone fireplace, and the exceptional meals served just felt like a fantastic fine dining experience. Plus, we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful spa that once served as the wine cellars, offering a relaxing ambiance after a day of exploring!

We really loved our time here, especially enjoying the luxurious suite and indulging in spa treatments that helped us unwind. The impressive massage service and tranquil garden area made for perfect relaxation after a day of exploring. One small downside was the limited outdoor seating, but it didn’t spoil our overall experience. 🌿

Stunning views and rich history
I had a fantastic stay in a spacious superior double room that offered breathtaking views of the Sil river canyon. The ambiance of the hotel, steeped in history as a former monastery, created a unique backdrop for my retreat. The nearby hiking trails enriched my experience with stunning natural landscapes and fascinating historical remnants. However, I found the indoor dining options a bit limited.

The stunning views of the Sil river canyon made our stay unforgettable. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful nooks of the converted monastery and found the hiking trails nearby to be rich in history and scenery. While the indoor dining options felt a bit limited, the overall dining experience was still enjoyable, particularly the vegetarian selections at dinner.

Soak up those unbelievable views of the Sil River canyon. it makes you feel like you've stumbled on a hidden treasure. The spacious Superior Double Room? Comfort galore. A marble bathroom that really elevates the experience.
The restaurant menu? It gets old quickly, especially if you're there more than a couple of days. the same options for lunch and dinner can feel limiting. Also, the outdoor seating is nearly nonexistent—just a small terrace, which is a letdown when you want to soak in the scenery over a drink. Some rooms overlook a delivery area, making sleep a challenge in the am. thankfully, we moved to a quieter spot. Lastly, certain common areas could use a bit of sprucing up to match the breathtaking history of the property.

Unique balcony access enhances the overall experience.
Upon arrival, I was immediately met with a strong smell of chlorine throughout the hotel, particularly from the spa area. This pungent odor was quite off-putting and unexpected for a historic establishment. Additionally, my room felt very moderate for the price paid, failing to deliver the luxurious experience I anticipated.
